Long-distance bus connections

There are numerous long-distance coach services connecting Freiburg with many German cities. The bus station located at Freiburg's main train station provides a direct connection to the inner-city tram lines towards the old town or you can enjoy a 10-minute walk through the city centre to the Historisches Kaufhaus on Münsterplatz.

Public transport

Take lines 1, 2, 3 and 5 to "Bertoldsbrunnen", from here it is only a few minutes' walk to Münsterplatz, home of the Historisches Kaufhaus.

The congress ticket (congress ticket = public transport ticket) entitles the holder to use the public transport system free of charge. This initiative is valid in the Regio-Verkehrsverbund Freiburg (RVF), in which 20 transport companies operating in the city and region have joined forces.

You can also obtain timetable information and tickets from Freiburger Verkehrs AG (VAG)
