CELEBRATORY AWARDS CEREMONY FOR THE FRIEDRICH-AUGUST-VON-HAYEK-STIFTUNG

Since 2005, the Friedrich-August-von-Hayek-Stiftung has held its awards ceremonies as part of a celebratory event with a standing reception afterwards at the Historisches Kaufhaus. The spaces constitute an attractive and appropriate setting for such an occasion. The Hayek-Stiftung presents its international award and journalism award every other year to people who have shown exceptional work in the field of economic and social order in Germany, Europe or another part of the world.

BEAUTIFUL, FITTING, SECURE: THE SPACES AT THE HISTORISCHES KAUFHAUS

Up to 300 guests are invited to the foundation’s awards ceremony and standing reception afterwards. The formal ceremony with prize-giving is held in the magnificent Kaisersaal, with the social element put on with exquisite catering in the Kaminsaal and the Rokokosaal.

As there are always a number of prominent figures from politics and business among the guests, tough security measures are required in order to ensure a carefree event. These include the accreditation of all internal and external staff, a strict entry process provided by a security company, inspection measures with the involvement of the Federal Criminal Police Office, state police and Freiburg police, ambulances on site and first aid services within the building.

Use of space at the Historisches Kaufhaus:

  • Kaisersaal Ceremony with prize-giving in theatre-style seating
  • Foyer
  • Rokokosaal Reception with high tables
  • Kaminsaal Reception with high tables
